The 2010 Mark Twain Award was presented at this year's Symposium to Jane Hamilton, author of A Map of the World and The Book of Ruth, both selected for Oprah's Book Club.
The 2010 MidAmerica Award was presented to Joseph Wydeven, professor emeritus of English and Humanities at Bellevue University.
